Inspiring Men Vol. I - Backture Organics with Miguel Balliache

We start a new section in the Backture Organics journal.

Doesn't it happen to you that sometimes you wonder what other people do for a living? Or what is the day-to-day life of someone with such a different job, like a visual artist, or the photographer of the Panticosa ski slopes?

We love to explore and learn how other men live, how they take care of themselves, what they do to have such an inspiring lifestyle.

Therefore, today we begin this new section called “Inspiring Men”. Here we are going to present them to you, in the form of interviews.

Miguel Balliache - Inspiring Men vol. Yo

We start with Miguel Balliache, an architect by training, he is a plastic artist dedicated to painting and ceramics. Venezuelan by birth, it is in Donosti where he resides and has his art gallery. He has exhibited his works in the USA, Venezuela, Spain, Ireland...

Let's get to know it in 7 questions.

1. Tell us who you are and what you do for a living (come on, what you do for a living).

I am a plastic artist, I dedicate myself to painting and ceramics, although I am an architect by academic training.

2. How does a person who does what you do live? Tell us about your daily life.

The life of the serious artist, in the ideal case, is a routine of rest and workshop work. Part of research into new ways of working, materials and results. Seeking to communicate emotions and speeches that relate to each person's personal life.

It's quite lonely. Then there is the search for stimuli which is much more social!

3. What does the perfect day look like for you?

Coffee, coffee and coffee. After the third, my day begins with a light breakfast and we enter the workshop. Where there are usually different moments of the pieces that are being made.

And if not, it is by planning social gatherings where you can meet people who might be interested in learning about your work. In summary; is to produce work and sell work
