Is the changing climate stressing your skin?
If you experience redness, acne breakouts, or excess oil, it may be a sign that you need to make changes to your skin care routine.
We share our 4 best tips to take care of men's skin during the change in climate.
Adapt your facial routine to Spring
1. Use warm water
You may shower more during the spring and summer. If you wash your face in the shower, make sure the water you are using is warm. Using hot water can dry out the skin and contribute to inflammation.
2. Apply less moisturizer
Yes, it sounds strange that a skincare brand encourages you to use less moisturizer, but here we try to be as transparent and honest as possible.
In warmer, more humid climates, you may need a little less moisturizer than in colder, drier months.
Moisturizing remains a key component of your skincare routine year-round, but try using a little less moisturizer in warmer climates and see how your skin reacts.
3. Use non-comedogenic products
That is, use products or ingredients that do not clog pores (such as silicones and paraffins).
Breakouts of acne, blackheads or pimples in warmer climates are usually due to clogged pores. Be sure to only use non-comedogenic products (like those from Backture Organics ) on your skin to prevent breakouts.
4. Daily facial cleansing
Properly cleansing your skin is even more essential in hot, humid climates.
Cleansing helps remove sweat, dirt, and excess oil that can contribute to clogged pores and breakouts.
Do it in the morning, before going to bed, and after exercising or sweating excessively.
